Rams Give Aaron Donald A Massive Raise
2 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams reworked All-World defensive tackle Aaron Donald's three remaining contract years to give him a huge $40 million raise through the 2024 season, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history at 31 years old, according to sources. Donald will get $95 million through 2024. He's earned it, though, as he is one of just three defensive players since the 1970 merger to earn a Pro Bowl selection in each of his first eight seasons, joining Lawrence Taylor (10) and Derrick Thomas (nine). There was speculation that the star pass-rusher might retire after the Rams won the Super Bowl in February, but Donald will return in 2022 and will continue to be one of the most coveted defensive linemen in IDP leagues after recording 12.5 sacks and a career-high 84 tackles in 17 games in 2021.
