2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (ankle, quadriceps) will be activated from the injured list on Wednesday as long as things go well on Tuesday, according to manager Craig Counsell. Adames came into Tuesday saying he was 100%, but the Brewers wanted him to show it. The 26-year-old went on the injured list on May 15 with a left ankle sprain, and he dealt with some quadriceps soreness while on his minor league rehab assignment. In three rehab games with Single-A Carolina and Triple-A Nashville, Adames went 3-for-8 with two home runs and three RBI. He should return to being the team's everyday shortstop. He has a low .208 average but has also hit nine home runs and driven in 24 in 130 at-bats at the major league level this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
