2 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf's absence at the team's mandatory minicamp this week is unexcused, opening the door for him to be fined by the Seahawks. If he misses all three days of minicamp, he could be fined in escalating amounts that would total just over $93,000. Even if Metcalf was present at the team's facilities this week, he would not be participating in the minicamp after having foot surgery earlier in the offseason. Any decision for him to skip the minicamp this week if likely linked to his desire for a contract extension heading into his fourth NFL season. Both Metcalf and the Seahawks remain optimistic that something will get done, but it remains to be seen if that will happen.
