2 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr.'s (wrist) CT scan is expected to take place next week. The Padres are being extremely conservative with their star shortstop, and they are hoping the scan shows that he's sufficiently healed to begin swinging a bat. Tatis is recovering from a fractured left wrist that he suffered in the offseason while riding a motorcycle. There's a chance he could make his season debut at the end of June, but that seems overly optimistic at this point, especially with the Padres taking things slow. The 23-year-old phenom will be a must-start whenever he does return, though, after hitting .292/.369/.596 with a .965 OPS, a league-leading 42 home runs, 97 RBI and 25 stolen bases in just 130 games in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
