2 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Luis Rengifo was placed on the paternity list Wednesday. He will step away from the team the next few days. The 25-year-old has started the last 19 games as the team's primary second baseman. He is slashing .233/.290/.337 with two home runs, seven RBI, 10 runs scored, and a stolen base over 94 plate appearances in 2022. Jack Mayfield was called from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move and will handle second base duties while Rengifo is away. Mayfield is slashing .220/.270/.322 with one home run, six RBI, and one stolen base across 20 games this season.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
