Joe Ryan Throws Three Scoreless Innings In Rehab Outing
2 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan threw three scoreless innings and gave up one hit on Thursday night in his first minor league rehab start with Triple-A St. Paul. Ryan struck out four and walked none in the outing. The 26-year-old has been on the COVID-19 injured list for the last two weeks, but the Twins could decide to activate him soon after his impressive outing on Thursday. He should be stashed in all fantasy leagues as well, as he was 5-2 with a 2.28 ERA and 0.99 WHIP while striking out 42 and walking 14 in 43 1/3 innings over eight starts before testing positive for the virus. If Ryan doesn't have another rehab start lined up, he should rejoin Minnesota's starting rotation next week.
