Andy Reid Confident Orlando Brown Jr. Deal Will Happen
2 years agoKansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. reported he's "very confident" a long-term deal will happen. Yet, the 25-year-old also seemingly hinted that he is prepared to sit out in 2022 if an agreement couldn't be reached. Brown had the franchise tag placed on him back in March, which would pay him roughly $16.5 million this season. When asked, head coach Andy Reid didn't seem too concerned about a contract getting done, indicating he doesn't see "anything that's going to get in the way." Nonetheless, there could be more to this situation in the weeks ahead. However, without the multi-time Pro Bowler on the field, things may become even more difficult for Patrick Mahomes, who is already entering the year without Tyreek Hill, who was traded to the Dolphins during the offseason.
