2 years agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Gabriel Moreno is tentatively expected to be promoted to the big leagues from Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday and get the start behind the plate. Moreno is regarded as one of the top prospects in the Toronto pipeline and has hit .324 with one homer, 18 runs, 23 RBI, and three steals across 136 minor league at-bats in 2022. Moreno will split at-bats with Alejandro Kirk behind the plate after the Blue Jays lost Danny Jansen to a fractured finger at the beginning of the week. The 22-year-old prospect is worth a look in fantasy leagues immediately as he has a plus hit tool and should be able to hold his own at the plate right off the bat.--Matt T - RotoBaller
