2 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Soroka (Achilles) threw his latest bullpen session at the team's spring training site on Friday. Once Soroka is ready to make a progression of starts, the Braves could send him on a 30-day minor league rehab assignment. He's still a long ways from returning from a torn right Achilles, but Soroka is hopeful that he'll be able to contribute in some way after the All-Star break. The 24-year-old right-hander originally tore his Achilles on Aug. 3 of 2020 and tore the same tendon while walking into the Braves clubhouse on June 24 of last season. Soroka was an All-Star in his second big-league season in 2019 and had a 3.95 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in three starts before initially tearing his Achilles in 2020.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
