2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (groin) went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers, a double, three RBI, and three runs scored in Saturday's 11-6 win over the New York Mets. He left Saturday's contest after six innings but reportedly did not appear to be injured. The Angels built up a big lead and were up 8-0 at one point of the game. Trout was removed as the team felt there was no need to push the superstar outfielder in his first game back with a big lead. He returned to action on Saturday after missing the team's previous three games due to groin tightness. The 30-year-old slashing .294/.394/.642 with 16 home runs, 33 RBI, 42 runs scored, and five stolen bases over 218 plate appearances in 2022. Fantasy managers should check on Sunday to ensure Trout is in the lineup before starting him.
