Carlos Dunlap Visiting With Panthers
2 years agoTwo-time Pro Bowl free-agent defensive end Carlos Dunlap is visiting with the Carolina Panthers on Monday, according to a source. Dunlap is a native of North Charleston, South Carolina, and the Panthers are his hometown team. The Panthers also need a pass-rusher to replace Haason Reddick, who left for the Philadelphia Eagles. Dunlap, 33, had 8.5 sacks, 35 tackles (24 solo), eight tackles for loss, 14 QB hits, seven passes defensed and one forced fumble in 17 games (two starts) for the Seattle Seahawks last year before they released him in March. While he's no longer in his prime as a pass-rusher, Dunlap can still be effective and would provide some veteran depth to an improving Panthers pass-rushing unit.
