2 years agoDetroit Tigers' third baseman Jeimer Candelario (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday. Last Tuesday, he was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder subluxation. The 28-year-old has struggled most of the season, slashing .181/.236/.319 with five home runs, 17 RBI, and 20 runs scored in 182 at-bats. Barring any setbacks, Candelario could return from the IL on Monday ahead of next week's series against the Boston Red Sox. Despite his struggles, Candelario remains an option in deep-league formats after hitting 16 homers and driving in 67 runs in 2021.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
