2 years agoCarolina Panthers tight end Ian Thomas (ankle) remained out of the team's mandatory minicamp practice on Tuesday with a high ankle injury that he suffered during organized team activities last week. High ankle injuries usually require a week or two of rest, at minimum, so Thomas could very well miss all of the team's minicamp this week. The 26-year-old should be good to go for training camp next month, but he's missing valuable repetitions in the offense. He had just 18 receptions for 188 yards and no touchdowns in 17 games (13 starts) in 2021 in his fourth season, and he's merely a low-end TE2 for those in much deeper leagues, especially given Carolina's quarterback situation.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
