3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Ian Anderson continues to struggle in 2022, as the 24-year-old New York native lasted just four innings on Monday against the Washington Nationals in the series opener. Anderson, who has given up at least four runs in four out of his last five starts, gave up four runs on six hits with four walks and just three strikeouts against the Nationals. After having back-to-back seasons with a hard-hit rate under 40% in 2020 and 2021, Anderson is allowing a 43% hard-hit rate on his pitches in 2022. Combine that with Anderson's strikeout rate collapsing from 29% in 2020 to just 19% in 2022, and it is a recipe for disaster for the Braves starter. Anderson is not a viable starting option in any fantasy format right now.--JasonHirsch
