Khari Willis Retires After Three Seasons
2 years agoIndianapolis Colts safety Khari Willis has announced his retirement after only three seasons in the NFL so that he can pursue religious interests. Willis was a fourth-round pick by the Colts in 2019 out of Michigan State, and he recorded 219 tackles (161 solo), seven tackles for loss, seven QB hits, 3.5 sacks, four interceptions (one for a touchdown), 11 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 39 games (33 starts) over his three NFL seasons. Willis' retirement is a significant loss for a Colts secondary that also has safeties Julian Blackmon, Rodney McLeod, Armani Watts and rookie Nick Cross in the fold.
