X-Rays Negative On Starling Marte
2 years agoX-rays on New York Mets outfielder Starling Marte's hand/wrist came back negative on Wednesday night after he was removed from the game early against the Milwaukee Brewers after being hit on the right wrist by a pitch. Marte is being diagnosed with a contusion and is day-to-day. The 33-year-old looks to have dodged a bullet, but fantasy managers shouldn't be too surprised if he's not in the starting lineup on Thursday against Milwaukee. Marte has contributed across the board for his fantasy managers in his first year with the Mets, as he entered Wednesday's contest with a strong .282/.325/.445 slash line, seven home runs, 34 RBI, 39 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 52 games. Hopefully, he'll be able to return in a day or two.
