George Springer, Matt Chapman Out Thursday
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer and third baseman Matt Chapman (wrist) are not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles. Springer has a scheduled day off, while Chapman is out because his right wrist is bothering him again, according to manager Charlie Montoyo. Raimel Tapia is in center field and batting sixth, while Santiago Espinal is playing the hot corner and hitting leadoff on Thursday against Orioles right-hander Tyler Wells. Chapman hit homers on Tuesday and Wednesday, but he was out for three straight games before that with right wrist soreness, so it's something to watch. Espinal will be a solid DFS target on Thursday, as he's hitting .298/.350/.451 with an .801 OPS, five homers, 31 RBI, 25 runs scored and three stolen bases on the season.
