Ji-Man Choi Extends Hitting Streak
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi did not start Wednesday's game against Nestor Cortes and the New York Yankees, but he did make a pinch-hit appearance, delivering an RBI single in his lone trip to the plate. This extended his hitting streak to 13 games. Choi has been excellent in June, slashing .350/.372/.550 with a home run, six runs scored, and 12 RBI in 42 plate appearances. With just five homers on the season, he's no big slugger, but Choi makes an excellent fill-in in most leagues, especially while he's this hot at the dish.
