Anthony Rendon Remains Out Thursday
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the Seattle Mariners. Rendon aggravated a right wrist injury on Tuesday that recently sent him to the injured list, and he will miss his second straight game as a result. This is certainly something that could send him right back to the injured list, so fantasy managers should prepare for that possibility. The 32-year-old just hasn't been able to get in a groove this year, hitting .228/.324/.383 with five home runs, 24 RBI, 15 runs scored and two stolen bases in 45 games. Matt Duffy will start at third for the second straight day and bat sixth against Mariners right-hander George Kirby. Duffy does have a nice .300 average, but the counting stats are lacking with no homers, five RBI and six runs in 100 at-bats.
