Tylor Megill Goes On Injured List
2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Tylor Megill (shoulder) was placed on the injured list on Friday with a right shoulder strain. The plan is to shut him down for four weeks before he's re-evaluated. Megill had to leave his start early on Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers after just 3 1/3 innings because of his shoulder, and now he'll be out for over a month. The good news for the Mets is that Max Scherzer (oblique) is nearing a return to the rotation, but losing Megill is a big blow after he recently had returned to the rotation. Fantasy managers should expect him to be out until at least August. The 26-year-old right-hander currently has a 5.01 ERA (3.62 FIP), 1.21 WHIP, 47 strikeouts and 11 walks in 41 1/3 innings over his nine starts.
