2 years agoThe Seattle Mariners designated relief pitcher Sergio Romo for assignment on Monday. The veteran appeared in 17 games for Seattle, throwing 14.1 innings and pitching to an 8.16 ERA, a 7.87 FIP, 11 strikeouts, and four walks. Romo also turned in four holds. The Mariners also designated reliever Roenis Elias for assignment as they needed to make room on the active roster for infielder Kevin Padlo and relief pitcher Ken Giles. Paldo was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma while Giles was reinstated from the 60-day injured list.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
