Luis Patino To Make Another Rehab Outing Tuesday
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays right-hander Luis Patino (oblique) allowed two runs on four hits while striking out three over 46 pitches and 2 2/3 innings on June 16 with Triple-A Durham. Skipper Kevin Cash said that Patino felt healthy, and his fastball velocity was strong. The 22-year-old will continue to build up his endurance with a four-inning outing scheduled with Durham on Tuesday. He'll likely need to get to the point where he can work five or six innings before rejoining Tampa's starting rotation. Patino suffered a left oblique strain after throwing only 13 pitches in his season debut on April 11 against the Oakland Athletics. Fantasy managers in need of rotation help should check to see if Patino is available on the waiver wire, as he's getting closer to a return.
