2 years agoTampa Bay Rays left-hander Jalen Beeks will serve as the opener on Tuesday against the New York Yankees in what looks to be another bullpen game for the Rays. Beeks served as the opener against the Yankees last Thursday and threw two perfect innings, but it doesn't make him worth a start in fantasy. The 28-year-old southpaw has been excellent of late and now is sporting a 1.29 ERA and 0.93 WHIP with 33 strikeouts and only eight walks in 28 innings over 17 appearances (two starts) for the Rays in 2022. It remains to be seen who the Rays will use as their "bulk" guy on Tuesday, but fantasy managers should probably stay away from Beeks as a streamer.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
