Jose Abreu Serving As DH Wednesday
2 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu (leg), who is dealing with some minor leg soreness, is serving as the designated hitter and is batting cleanup on Wednesday against Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Ross Stripling. With Abreu at DH, Andrew Vaughn will play first base and hit second in the batting order. Abreu has been great in the month of June, hitting .299 (23-for-77) with four home runs, four doubles, 12 RBI and 14 runs scored in 19 games to raise his season slash line to .261/.359/.433 with nine home runs, 32 RBI and 36 runs scored in 284 plate appearances. Fantasy managers in single-season formats need to keep Abreu in their starting lineups.
