Manuel Margot Moves To 60-Day Injured List
2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays transferred outfielder Manuel Margot (knee) to the 60-day injured list on Thursday to make room for right-hander David McKay, who they acquired from the New York Yankees in exchange for cash considerations. McKay will report to Triple-A Durham. Margot was carted off the field on Monday after he suffered a right knee sprain while crashing into the outfield fence against the New York Yankees. The 27-year-old is set to miss at least two months, and it's a tough break for the Rays and fantasy managers, as he was hitting .302/.365/.423 with three home runs, 27 RBI, 21 runs scored and five stolen bases in 200 plate appearances over 51 games before his injury. With Kevin Kiermaier also on the shelf, Josh Lowe and Vidal Brujan should be playing every day in Tampa moving forward.
