2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff (ankle, fingers) said "everything feels good, I'm healthy" after making a minor league rehab start for High-A Quad Cities on Thursday. Woodruff landed on the injured list on May 30 with a high right ankle sprain, and then he was diagnosed with Raynaud's syndrome, which has caused numbness in his fingers. The 29-year-old allowed a solo home run while striking out seven in five innings on Thursday, and all signs look clear for him to return to Milwaukee's rotation as early as Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Woodruff managed to throw 75 pitches on Thursday, so he shouldn't be limited at all when he returns to the Brewers rotation. His 4.74 ERA looks disappointing so far this season, but he also has a 3.82 FIP, a solid 28.5% strikeout rate and a high .315 batting average on balls in play, so Woodruff could see better results once he's back and healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
