3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Kris Bryant (back) will not be ready to rejoin the big league club this weekend, according to the Denver Post's Patrick Saunders. Bryant has appeared in two rehab games for Triple-A Albuquerque, going 0-for-6 with three strikeouts thus far. He was initially expected back for his team's weekend series against the Minnesota Twins but he will not be available. Bryant has been dealing with a back issue for much of the season, but has not suffered a setback in his recovery. Manager Bud Black told reporters on Friday, "No setback at all. We're just looking at it more realistically. He probably needs just a few more games to get ready." Bryant is hitting .270 with 11 runs and four RBI across just 73 at-bats in 2022.--Matt T - RotoBaller
