2 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert (8-3) allowed three runs on nine hits, two walks, and a hit batter while striking out seven across 5 2/3 innings in Saturday's 5-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. He picked up his eighth win of the season. The Mariners right-hander allowed a season-high nine hits and surrendered multiple long balls for just the second time this year. Gilbert's quality start streak ends at eight, but he has now earned a win four times over his last six starts. The 25-year-old owns a 2.44 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 89:25 K: BB across 88 2/3 innings in 2022.
