2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff (ankle, fingers) is scheduled to come off the injured list to rejoin the team's rotation on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Woodruff recently declared that he was ready to return to the big leagues after throwing 74 pitches while giving up one run in five innings for High-A Wisconsin on Thursday. The 29-year-old initially landed on the injured list on May 30 with an ankle sprain, but he was then slowed by Raynaud's syndrome, which caused tingling and numbness in his hands and fingers. He should be sufficiently stretched out, but Woodruff will be pretty risky in his first start back against Tampa. Woodruff's 4.74 ERA is disappointing, but his underlying numbers point to positive regression coming if he can stay healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
