Domingo German To Make Another Rehab Start Tuesday
2 years agoNew York Yankees right-hander Domingo German (shoulder) threw three scoreless innings and allowed one hit on 40 pitches in his first minor league rehab outing with Single-A Tampa on June 22, and his next rehab outing is scheduled for Tuesday with Double-A Somerset. The 29-year-old is slowing building up his workload, but there's a good chance that he'll return to a relief role when he's ready to make his 2022 season debut. A swing role won't give German much fantasy value, but he could be worth a waiver-wire pickup if a Yankees starter gets injured and forces him into the rotation. Last year in 22 appearances (18 starts), German had a 4.58 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP with 98 strikeouts and 27 walks in 98 1/3 innings pitched.
