Alex Kirilloff Gets Three Hits Monday
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff went 3-for-3 with a hit by pitch, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-1 win over the Cleveland Guardians. Kirilloff has gone 10-for-33 (.303) with 10 RBI and four runs scored in 10 games since he was brought back to the major leagues on June 17. The 24-year-old is starting at first base and is batting fifth on Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader against Cleveland Guardians right-hander Zach Plesac. Overall, he's hitting .242/.279/.306 with no home runs, 10 RBI and six runs scored in 69 plate appearances over 20 games in his second big-league season. Kirilloff should continue to play nearly every day as he searches for his first long ball of the year.
