Josh Winder To Start Game 2 Against Guardians
2 years agoThe Minnesota Twins named right-hander Josh Winder the 27th man on Tuesday for their doubleheader against the Cleveland Guardians, and he will start Game 2. Winder will likely be returned to Triple-A St. Paul after his spot start, which will be his fourth of the season in his first year in the big leagues. The 25-year-old is currently 2-2 with a 3.68 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 23 strikeouts and nine walks in his seven appearances (three starts) over 29 1/3 innings pitched. In his three starts for St. Paul, Winder has allowed four earned runs on six hits while striking out six and walking four over eight innings. He's allowed only three earned runs over his three spots starts in the big leagues, but Winder is still a pretty risky fantasy streamer on Tuesday.
