2 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits in a scoreless inning of work in his minor league rehab outing on Tuesday with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Chapman threw seven of his 13 pitches for strikes, and he's expected to be activated from the injured list now, most likely before Wednesday's game. There's a good chance the southpaw reliever won't pitch on Wednesday against the Oakland Athletics, but he should be ready to go again for Thursday's makeup game against the Houston Astros. The 34-year-old might not see all of the Yankees' save chances when he returns because of Clay Holmes' dominance in the role this year, but manager Aaron Boone wants to at least give Chapman a share of the duties.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
