Ryan Jeffers Gets A Breather
2 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Cleveland Guardians. While splitting time behind the plate this year with Gary Sanchez, Jeffers is hitting a lowly .198/.283/.341 with five home runs, 20 RBI and 19 runs scored in 167 at-bats. He should only be rostered in deep two-catcher leagues. Sanchez will get the start behind the plate on Thursday, and he's hitting seventh against Guardians right-hander Shane Bieber. Sanchez is hitting just .227 on the year, but he also has nine home runs and has gone 7-for-22 (.318) with a home run and four RBI in six games over the last week for the Twins. However, he'll be a dicey DFS play on Thursday in a tough matchup against Bieber.
