Alejandro Kirk Not Starting In Game 1
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of a doubleheader on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays. It's a normal day of rest for Kirk, who will mostly likely be back in there for the second game of the twin bill. The 23-year-old has become one of the better hitting catching options for fantasy managers, as he's slashing .318/.408/.514 with a .922 OPS, 10 home runs, 32 RBI and 39 runs scored on the season for Toronto. Gabriel Moreno will do the catching in the first game on Saturday and will hit eighth against Rays left-hander Shane McClanahan. Moreno has 12 hits in his 40 at-bats, but he's still searching for his first homer and he'll have a tough task against one of the best pitchers in the American League.
