2 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Cleveland Guardians. It will be Donaldson's first game off in the last eight games, but he's likely to return for the nightcap. He finished the month of June with a poor .205/.274/.325 slash line with a homer, seven RBI and five runs scored in 22 games, and he's hitting only .225/.320/.380 on the season with six home runs, 22 RBI, 22 runs scored and one stolen base in 247 plate appearances. Donaldson hasn't homered since June 19. DJ LeMahieu is starting at third base and batting leadoff in Game 1 against Guardians left-hander Kirk McCarty. LeMahieu will be a popular DFS pick on Saturday, as he's hitting .299 (23-for-77) with three of his seven homers against southpaws in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
