Spencer Torkelson Returns To Lineup
2 years agoDetroit Tigers rookie first baseman Spencer Torkelson (head) is back at first base and is hitting seventh in the batting order on Sunday against Kansas City Royals right-hander Brady Singer. Torkelson sat out on Saturday after taking a pitch to the head in the series opener against KC, but he's apparently cleared the league's concussion protocol and is good to go for the series finale. The 22-year-old right-handed slugger hasn't performed very well in his first 218 major league at-bats, as he's hitting just .193/.285/.289 with four home runs, 16 RBI, 19 runs scored and 64 strikeouts in 249 plate appearances. Torkelson obviously isn't a must-start, even in much deeper fantasy formats.
