2 years agoNew York Yankees right-hander Domingo German (shoulder) allowed an earned run on two hits while walking none and striking out three in four innings in his second minor league rehab start for Double-A Somerset on Sunday. German has been out all year with a right shoulder impingement, but he's posted a 0.87 ERA and a 0.48 WHIP while walking none and striking out six in 10 1/3 innings in three rehab starts (one with Single-A Tampa) and he's getting close to making his season debut for the Bronx Bombers. The 29-year-old is being built up for a starter's workload, but he's most likely to return as a multi-inning reliever for the Yankees out of the bullpen, which will leave him very little fantasy appeal.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
