Miguel Sano Goes Hitless In Rehab Game
2 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman Miguel Sano (knee) began a minor league rehab assignment in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League on Monday and went 0-for-4 with a pop-out and three groundouts as the designated hitter. There remains no timetable for his return to the team. The Twins will give him whatever time he needs to get fully ramped up to game speed, considering he's been away from game action for almost two months and has generally been a slow starter. When he's ready to step up the competition on his rehab assignment, he'll be promoted to Triple-A St. Paul. The 29-year-old had surgery to fix meniscus damage in his left knee on May 5. He probably won't be an option for fantasy managers for his power until at least late July.
