2 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays (wrist) is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers and said he's day-to-day after being hit by a pitch on Monday. Hays' X-rays came back negative and there is no additional swelling. He swung the bat in the batting cage and just didn't feel right on Tuesday, but he might be available off the bench. The 27-year-old will start on the bench on his birthday, and hopefully he can pick it up sooner than later after going 2-for-24 (.083) with no home runs or RBI and four strikeouts in six games over the last week. Overall, however, he's been solid with a .271/.327/.459 slash line with 11 home runs, 45 RBI, 40 runs scored and one stolen base in 318 plate appearances over 76 games for the O's.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
