2 years agoMiami Marlins right-hander Cody Poteet (elbow) started a minor league rehab assignment on Monday with Single-A Jupiter and threw two innings. Poteet last started for the Marlins on May 25 against the Tampa Bay Rays and reported soreness in his elbow to the medical staff. The 27-year-old could be back with the Marlins later this week, barring any setbacks. Before his injury, he had a nice 2.42 ERA and 1.04 WHIP while striking out 20 and walking 11 in 26 innings in 11 appearances (two starts). Poteet will give the Marlins more bullpen depth when he returns, but he's not really on the fantasy radar coming out of the bullpen.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
