Garrett Cooper Goes Deep Tuesday
2 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman Garrett Cooper went deep off Los Angeles Angels starter Noah Syndergaard Tuesday, helping the Marlins to a 2-1 victory. Cooper also walked in four plate appearances. He now has six homers this year. Cooper, a perennially underrated slugger, has been especially excellent over his past 30 games, slashing .368/.419/.547 in 127 plate appearances while adding three homers, 11 runs, and 20 RBI in that span. Fantasy managers will certainly hope for more home runs as the season drags on, but his all-around contributions make him an excellent end-of-the-bench option.
