2 years agoSan Francisco Giants left-hander Alex Wood (hamstring) was forced from his start in the fifth inning on Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks because his left hamstring was cramping up. Before departing, Wood allowed one run on four hits while walking none and striking out four. The 31-year-old said he was fine after the game, but it remains to be seen if his next start will be in jeopardy. The veteran southpaw has been a bit disappointing so far with a 5-7 record, 4.83 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 75 strikeouts and 20 walks in 78 1/3 innings over 16 starts this season. We'll probably have a better idea in the next couple of days as to whether Wood will be able to make his next scheduled start for the Giants.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
