2 years agoDetroit Tigers general manager Al Avila said left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez, who is currently on the restricted list due to a personal matter, hasn't been in communication with the team. "We reached out, but he hasn't reached out back. We're just kind of waiting it out...It is unusual. But we have no choice but to wait and see what develops as we move forward," Avila said. E-Rod was placed on the restricted list on June 13, and there remains no timetable for his return. Whenever the 29-year-old is ready to return, he'll need time to build his arm back up for a starting role, so it could be a while. Rodriguez was on the injured list previously with a left rib-cage strain, but he's likely recovered from that now. He has gone 1-3 with a 4.38 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 34 strikeouts and 17 walks in 39 innings over eight starts so far in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
