Shohei Ohtani Strikes Out 10 In Win Over Fish
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani continued to show his dominance on the mound in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Miami Marlins. The Japanese two-way star allowed an unearned run on two hits while walking three and striking out 10 in seven innings for his eighth win of the season. Ohtani also went 1-for-4 at the plate as the designated hitter with a run, two RBI and a stolen base. The 28-year-old right-hander has won five straight starts and has reached double-digit strikeouts in three straight starts to lower his season line to a 2.44 ERA and 0.99 WHIP with 111 strikeouts and just 20 walks in 81 innings. Ohtani has been nearly untouchable on the mound in the last month, and he remains a must-start each time he's on the mound.
