2 years agoWashington Nationals infielder Luis Garcia (side) left the game early on Thursday against the Philadelphia Phillies after he was seen wincing in pain and holding his left side after he grounded out. Garcia went 1-for-3 with a strikeout in the game before leaving, and he was replaced at shortstop by Ehire Adrianza. It remains to be seen if his injury is serious enough to land him on the injured, so stay tuned for more updates on his condition. The 22-year-old has become the team's primary shortstop and is hitting an excellent .325 but with only two stolen bases, 14 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base in 126 at-bats. If Garcia is forced to miss some time, veteran Alcides Escobar could return to everyday duties at the 6.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
