2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield passed his physical, completing the pending trade with Cleveland. The signal-caller had surgery on his non-throwing shoulder back in January, so since everything checked out from a medical standpoint, he is now officially a Panther. Mayfield's tenure with the Browns had its ups and downs, and he finished his final season with the team by amassing a career-low 3,010 yards and 17 touchdowns while tossing 13 picks and completing only 60.5% of his attempts. Nevertheless, the 27-year-old will have an opportunity to turn things around in Carolina. Assuming he starts over Sam Darnold in 2022-23, he has a good chance to do just that, especially with D.J. Moore and Christian McCaffrey at his disposal. However, despite Mayfield's higher ceiling, fantasy managers shouldn't go out of their way to add him to the roster.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
