2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (groin) was held out of Sunday's game due to a groin issue. He underwent an MRI that revealed nothing more than tightness. That means, Marte is likely to avoid a trip to the injured list. The 33-year-old outfielder is expected to return to the lineup in the near future, according to manager Buck Showalter. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Mets rest Marte for a day or two.
