2 years agoDallas Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz is reportedly not close with the organization on a long term extension. The 26-year-old is currently under the franchise tag, so the two sides have until Friday to agree on a deal. Otherwise, Schultz will play out the tag before becoming a free agent next summer. The Cowboys could potentially tag Schultz, but it would cost them $13.2 million for the 2023 season. Last season, Schultz finished with 78 receptions, 808 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns through 15 games. He could turn himself into a popular free agent next summer with another solid season in 2022.
