Daniel Lynch Exits Monday's Start Early
2 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Daniel Lynch (finger) left Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the Tigers with a blister. He allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out three over four innings before exiting. The 25-year-old had his hand examined by the trainer in the fifth inning, and it appears a blister had resurfaced. The southpaw is considered day-to-day. He owns a 4.92 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, and 68 strikeouts over 67 2/3 innings. It's unclear if Lynch will make his next start Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
